Billy Liar
Bored with his job of undertaker's clerk, and his North Country family
background, Billy Fisher takes refuge in his own make-believe world. He
lies his way into and out of every situation, producing any explanation
and making any promise that will extricate him from his predicament, and
thereby creating ever more tortuous entanglements for the future. |

Death TrapIt
is 18 years since playwright Sidney Bruhl last had a successful thriller
on Broadway. When a new
script for a sure-fire hit lands in his lap, Myra sees it
as an opportunity for her husband to collaborate with young writer,
Clifford, and see his name in lights again.
Sidney would rather have the play to himself and, in an atmosphere of
rising tension, both Clifford and Myra become convinced that Sidney is
about to commit brutal murder.

Fur Coat and No KnickersThis
hilarious play takes place over a weekend and centres around the
marriage of Deirdre Ollerenshawe and Mark Greenhalgh.
The stag night turns
out to be something of a fiasco, and the wedding not much better - with
all the guests suffering blinding hangovers. |
